Dec. 15th anyone?

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to get going on this weight loss journey. I feel like I have tried so many other things but with this I feel I can have long term success! I got a bug to get it done and had my first doctor appt. Oct. 17th and it felt like it took forever to get scheduled but it really wasn't very long I guess. I am anxious to get it over with.

Scared of pain, wondering what I will eat. Anyone have any favorite Protein powders? I hear they will be my friend. The only ones I tried in the past were yucky! What about shakes? I like Optifast but they are pricey. Any decent ones out there?

Hoping for some buddies to go through this with me!

Chris.

I'm also on the 16th. Starting to get nervous, one minute I'm 100% committed, the next I am second guessing this decision. Anyone else wrestling with nerves?

I'm also the 16th and although nervous, the past few days I've just been really excited! Looking forward to buying clothes and all that type of stuff????. I imagine however, that the last couple of days leading up to surgery the real nervousness will kick in!

I am on the 15th as well. I am so worried I start my pre op diet on monday. I feel bad for whining or being nervous about 7 days when most have to do 2 weeks. I wish i was one of the people who only had to do the day or 2 prior. It is getting so real. I finally watched a you tube video of an entire sleeve surgery. It was amazing I suggest anyone who can stomach it to watch. It was Interesting to know what it entails from start to finish.

I have a very liberal prep diet. 4 shakes, two fruits, 1 lean meal, 2 jello snacks. It's super easy but I haven't lost any weight. (Only 1lb) I have another week to go. I feel like I should be losing something. Have I stalled even before the surgery? Ugh. I'm tempted to do all shakes for the 2nd week.

Bebop I'm also 16th on day 6 of my liquid diet things are going great down a total now of 17 pounds since my preop visit and 9 since preop diet on Tuesday. I have fibromyalgia so my pain led me to this decision. I really can't say as Heidi said I'm sure days prior I'll have nerves kick in but 100% sure I want this. I also look forward to new clothes

Someone was inquiring about protein shakes. I've found Advocare vanilla, chocolate, mocha and berry tasty with 24 gms of protein and okayed with my surgeon. More info go to www,advocare.com/120929344

AJP I start my liquid diet on Mon. too. Also only 7 days for we. I think we can do it!!

Seems like everyone else has started liquids and all this week I had food funerals. Went to my favorite places and ate my favorite things. I didn't over indulge or do desserts but I have enjoyed my meals. Might do Mexican tonight for my final "meal" for awhile. Not going to feel bad about either!

On to a new way of life tomorrow. Gotta get my shakes in a row. Of course my work planned their Christmas dinner tomorrow night. I am obligated to go. I guess I'll be having green beans for dinner hope they don't mind if I take my protein shake!

I am Dec 16th!! Im so excited to see others that will be around my date too!!

The STUFF is getting real now!!! EEK!!! :) But im ready!!!

How is everyone doing on their pre-op diets??

There is a Facebook page started called December sleevers 2014 that is private if you guys want to join.

How do I join? Mine is 15th

I just went shopping for my post -op phase!! Eek!!! Best of luck to you Greeneyes182vgv!!!

Is anyone traveling to have your sleeve done?

My surgery is on the 16th and I'm on day 6 of my pre-op diet. The shakes are getting a little easier to get down (lots of gagging in the beginning). It's still really tough having to cook for my family and not being able to eat though, but I'm hanging in there. My husband will be home from work Tuesday and he'll feed them before I get home from work, so hopefully the rest of the days will go without problems.

I forgot to weigh myself before I started the pre-op diet, but I can definitely see some loss in my face and my pants are fitting a little looser!!!

Good luck to everyone...we can do this!!!!

My surgery is December 12. Very excited to be finished.

This pre-op diet may be the toughest thing I've ever done. 5 more days til surgery.
