I don't think it's head hunger I think I'm actually hungry. I drank plenty and eaten my required food. I have a tiny headache and I've been drinking alot more then usualy not feeling full.

Also I've been craving a KFC bowl. Should I? It's mashed potatoes gravy cheese and chicken.. I'm still in the puree stage..

All help is appreciated.

When you say you've eaten your required food to you mean yo're at your suggested calorie limit? If so No. Otherwise, plan for it. I've never had a KFC bowl, but I'm pretty sure it would be enough for 2 -3 meals. Be mindful that it's Protein first so you should go easy on the mashed potato portion. Also be aware that fast food has a LOT of sodium. That KFC bowl may be equal to a days requirement of sodium. Sodium can lead to Fluid retention which will show as weight on the scale. Part of this process is learning new eating habits. Ask yourself is it worth it.

Nope! You're done for the day. Drink more Water or do something to distract you. Do you use a food diary? It's helpful in meal planning. If you really want that KFC bowl plan for it so you stay within your calorie/protein guidelines.

No diary but I food prep in advance.

I might just make my own KFC bowl. I guess it's just the hunger talking.

That's a better idea! You'll be able to avoid extra sodium and fat because you can bake or broil your chicken and you can leave out half the fat making your own mashed potatoes.

You can do this! :D

FYI - I just checked and a KFC chicken bowl is

560 calories 68 carbs 23 fat 19 Protein 1,520 sodium 6 sugar

You deserve better!

I think you can promote good habits by eating until you are satisfied, not full. Remember to eat slowly to give yourself time To be able to discern when you are satisfied. Not drinking while eating is something I have to remind mySelf of, same with not drinking for an hour after eating.

@@Aribay1 Oh I would not do that. Fast food this early is too much. You want to find good nutrition for your new belly if possible or at least do what you said and make it your self. kFC bowl is a bunch of overly processed garbage. Try to treat your new belly as If it's a new baby. There are way better options out there. Are you only 1 week and 6 days out or did I read that wrong? That's amazing if you are and are allowed to eat that. I'm only a couple days after you and I'm still on full liquids for another whole week. Surgeons are so different lol! Anyway I hope you find something that will Keep you satisfied throughout that day. Maybe egg or tuna salad? How are your 3 meals? What are you eating and are you measuring enough out? Just be careful and don't hurt yourself! good luck!

Do you feel Like you are getting "full" or satiated by the 2-4 tbs of food? Are your meals a form of Protein? Do you wait the 30 mins before and after a meal to drink? So 24 oz of Water but you can have more if you can handle it right? Are you spacing everything out so you aren't going to long between feedings , shakes, ect? If your all ready doing all that then GOOD job! It may be head hunger, Boredom , or maybe you are just hungry. I would give your NUT or whomever set these goals for you a call and see what they say about it. You shouldn't have to feel "that" hungry! ☺️

Hum ok well I'm out of ideas. I was going to ask you what you were eating but you said in a post before you were a vegetarian But you want to eat a chicken bowl. I wouldn't even know what food to suggest. Good luck you will figure it out.

I'm between being a vegetarian right now because my NUT is strongly against me being one so early in my journey. So I've been having the weirdest cravings. I haven't had beef for a couple months now and all I was is a big fat juice beefy burger. So it's more like in my head.

Were you a veg before surgery? It's challenging but not impossible. I've dealt with so many anti vegetarian nutritionist it annoys me to no end. One of the reasons I went with the hospital instead of the other hospital I looked at was because the nutritionist was so rude and condescending toward vegetarians.

Yeah I was going to become vegan and was told it'd be impossible to get all my Protein and proper nutrition post op.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
