Well, I got my revision from Lap Band to Bypas. Had it done yesterday afternoon. I am feeling pretty good, not a lot of pain, already walking around. Worst part is the Jugular IV, really hurts, but I as m so grateful that I got rid of my band. Time to start living a life without getting stuck and without having to puke at every meal.

Good for you! I had my band revision to RNY on May 13,2014. Had the band since October 2007...bad experience for sure. The bypass is the best decision I have ever made for my health. I am down 85lbs (20 before surgery),not quite 6 months. I had a rough first month after surgery, but at week 5 everything fell into place. I have slowed down on weight loss the past 6 weeks, but it is still coming off about a pound a week. Rest up, do what the doc says and enjoy the journey.

I get my revision on Dec. 4. I can't WAIT to be done with this band!!!! I just had an "incident" yesterday and man o man will I be happy to be done with that. Most of the time I don't even know it's there and then BAM! Out of the blue I am completely stuck. I am sure I will have issues, too, because my pouch is really stretched. I hope your recovery goes very smoothly and I am so happy to hear you have no hunger. I am hungry all the time at this point.

I like all the rest of you had lots of issues with ALWAYS feeling like something was struck in my esophagus, whether I had eaten or not!. I think the most Fluid I ever had in my band was 3cc, then they started removing it till it was empty, still had same feeling only slightly better. All the while I was on Omeprazole or some other PPI, double dosing. Stick with that feeling like a failure for 3.75 years. I had my lap band removal and conversion to RNY on 8/26/14. My overall situation was also complicated by a back injury relapse requiring meds, epidural, PT, exercise, etc. Day of and day 2. I was in excruciating pain!!!!!. GAS PAIN, I WAS BLOWN UP LIKE A BALLOON AND THE HEAVY DUTY NARCOTICS DID ZIP!. IT WASN'T TILL THEY RESTARTED MY PRE-OK MEDS THAT I STARTED FEELING LILE A HUMAN AGAIN. IT WAS TERRIBLE!!!. I wanted to end it!.

I went home on day 3 thank goodness!. I'm in control of my meds getting to me!. I did ok with liquids faster with bypass then I did with liquid post-op band. Transitioning to pureed, great, to good, not do much. I've gone back to fluid/pureed foods throughout and continuing cause one day I try a shredded chicken salad with mayo, celery (minute amt.), Chopped Green Apple, are VERY SLOWLY (as usual) and it was fine☺. That was last week (10 weeks post-op). The very next day, tried same thing, same speed...2 bites in STUCK, BURPING, NAUSEA, followed 45" later with thick mucus nemesis. GROSS!. I've already had a endoscopy, stretch the inlet and outlet a bit although the Surgeon said they weren't bad. He said something about the stomachblinds being folded over. I'm sitting in my bariatric surgeon's office right now, hopefully I'll learn some reason for all this nonsense!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
