I was always a skinny kid. Don't get me wrong, I was a big boy, but I was skinny. It wasn't until junior high that my life went out of control. My father became verbally abusive and was later diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.
During this time, I Suck deeper and deeper into depression. Food became my sole comfort and I began to lose the spark that once lit my life. A good friend onc...e told me that I used to be full of life and I could make anyone believe I was capable of anything. He went on to tell me that over the last ten years or so he slowly saw me dying inside year after year.
Friends were concerned, family were concerned, and my I just didn't care. I finally hit a point in my life when I was sick and tired or being sick and tired. So I decided to take back my life.
On November 4, 2013, I walked into the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, to go in for a Gastric Bypass surgery. It was a day that would forever change and shape my life.
This fan page, my blog, twitter, and other accounts are all dedicated to sharing my journey with others. I want to be an inspiration and motivation to those that are struggling to not only lose weight, but get healthy. At one point I weighed over 512lbs. As I am writing this I am now 210lbs lighter less than a year later. I am doing runs, bike races, and training for my first triathlon.
It is my hope that you learn from my posts about what I struggle with, exercise, tips, talks about surgery, recipes, and talks to motivate and support those looking for help and inspiration.
