I completely agree with DaiDai, I've never been so FREAKING CRANKY in my entire life!!

Today is day 3 of my liquid pre-op diet, 5 days till surgery and time can't go by fast enough!! Trying to stay positive, planning for low-key weekend at home . . . did all my shopping for what I'm taking with me to Surgery Center.

I truly appreciate everyone sharing their journey on this site, it gives me hope + makes me feel better that the emotions + struggle that I'm feeling is completely normal!

I started my preop diet today, I had my shake, Jello, and Water for Breakfast around 8:30am. It is only 11am and I feel nauseous. I am diabetic and I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I am not hungry but my brain will not shut off, all it is doing is thinking of food! What else can I do to get rid of this feeling?

Stay away from the kitchen. Window shop. Go for a walk. Read a book. Clean your entire house? Haha

Post op will be easier in the hunger dept. ( so I'm told!)

Unfortunately, I still have to get in the kitchen to feed my kids. My husband and oldest daughter are working so I am on my own today. I really am not hungry, it's me just thinking about food nonstop. I feel so dumb right now, I feel like I am weak and can't handle this. PRAYING FOR THE WILL POWER I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL I CAN NOT BE THIS UNHEALTHY ANYMORE. ????

I'm glad to see so many people are going to Mexico and are confident with their choices. I'm just sad hardly anyone is going to Mexicali I guess Tijuana was safer but the woman who inspired me to finally get this done went to Mexicali and I just felt that I wanted to go there too. 9 days to go! So close now!

tijuana is cartelville......maybe the surgeons are good but the city is by far not the safest place to be....Mexacali is a good choice , feel good about that .

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
