Thanks Peekboo! It is just so frustrating when that scale does not move at all in almost 2 weeks. Let me know what your doctor says because I don't go back until next Tuesday the 18th. Thank you

I have dropped about 20lbs in my first 2 weeks. I saw my surgeon today for a follow up and he said we need to go slow and if I don't lose any more between now and when I see him again on the 23rd, this is still considered and really good month. I said, yeah, we'll see. He said ok.... Let's up ur Protein to 80-90 grams a day and Water to 80 ozs. I'll see you in 2 weeks. I just stared at him like really?? And said ok, see you then.

I'm assuming you were around 60-70 g of protein before and the same for water?

@@slareau I wanna say I'm Ina stall but truthfully, my weight lost hasn't been fast at all (other than my first week)

First week I lost over 8lbs

week two- 4

week three -2

I am three days into my fourth week, lost1 lb today,so we'll see if I lose anymore by Friday( my weigh in date). I'm clearly showing a trend of slowing down. I'm really not worried about it to be honest. I read so much about the stalls prior to the surgery that I am mentally prepared.

Now if it last longer than three weeks, I might be singing a different tune.

@@Jen, that is fantastic! 20lbs/2weeks, great job. I could not imagine getting 80 to 90 g of Proteins. I'm supposed to get 60-80g a day and I typically fall in the lower range (60-65) & I pat myself on the back when I make 60!

Hope the weight continues to fall off for you.

Hi Everyone, had surgery on the 22nd. Highest 300, surgery weight 267 today 254. I am on soft foods. Must have eaten too fast today or something. Had some well cooked chicken Soup. And threw it up. Not pleasant at all. Hopefully that won't happen again. I eat my Protein first and can't get past that to eaten any vegetables nevertheless starches. But I will take the weight loss over eating any day. That is why I did this.

That is correct. And I'm not always hitting goal with that either. O get to full. Mind you he doesn't allow Protein Shakes.

Hello everyone! Is anybody out there suffering SEVERE Constipation? If so, what are you doing about it? I had to do something today that is too gross to even discuss! Are you taking Fiber supplements, stool softeners (did not work for me at all. Neither did Milk of Magnesia)? Wanted to ask everyone here because I don't go back to doctor until next week. I am still in my 2 week stall also. Not very happy right now.

I was right where you are last week. Had to give myself two mineral oil enemas. Not fun. I started taking Miralax every morning. It has been a miracle for me. The first day was hard because I was so stopped up, but by day 2 I was feeling good! Good luck. There is no worse or gross feeling

I talked to my PA at my appointment today about Constipation. They really stressed miralax daily because your body wont get addicted to it like it could to Phillips mom. Use it daily or every other day. Since Ican have eggies now, things should get better for me. So hang in there.

2 week post op visit today and he said I lost too much. Ummmm, like I could help that? So anyway, now I can eat different stuff and he stressed that my fork should be able to much through it…. Got it. Tonight I had half of a small sweet potato and a dab of plain greek yogurt and a pinch of low fat cheese. Hello there! Definitely made my tummy happy BUT I got a couple of sharp pains on my ribs. They were quick, only a second or two long but sheesh!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
