I'm a week out from surgery. No remaining surgical pain, gas pain is minimal and brief, still some cramping from cold Water or when eating, but it's much less, goes away faster, and doesn't happen as often. Scheduled my checkup for this coming Monday, I'm assuming it'll be routine stuff. I went to the gym two days ago and did a mile on the treadmill, weighed myself beforehand, and I've already started losing weight! I'll update my profile tonight after I go to the gym again.

Easy to handle the vitamin/shake/meal routine, hard to make sure I get enough fluids. It was so much easier when I could just drink a pint of Water without thinking about pacing...

@@FpJackelyn the diet is not as bad as I expected actually. Try to eat before you go to the party, and bring some flavored water or crystal light with you. You can do it!! Make it a mind over matter deal and put yourself first. Let me know how it goes! :)

I was Dec. 8th. I came home yesterday. Feeling good. Still in pain, but I am only using Tylenol to manage it. After tonight, I probably won't use anything. The hardest part post surgery is all this darn gas still inside me. My stomach is so distended. I have been trying to walk around as much as possible.

How are the Dec. 9th surgery patients feeling?

Hey Scifiguy. I'm glad to hear that you have no surgical pain and minimal gas pain. The gas pain is killing me. Did you think walking on the treadmill helped?

A total of 4 gasx strips and something that resembled dancing did the trick for me. Oh yeah... And zofran

teamfattdenmom holiday party was tough! Im glad its over, haha. I did not cheat so I am very proud of myself. I had veggies and 4 oz of protein! For "dessert" I had strawberries and blue berries while everyone had ice cream and chocolate brownies and it didn't phase me as much as I thought it would.

Great job @@FpJackelyn!!! We have two parties on Saturday but I'm not sure if I'm going yet. Maybe for an hour each, just to make an appearance. I have a lot to do before next Wednesday. I had my pre-admission appt this morning, they took blood, urine, and money. Lol!! But everything is set for surgery next Thursday!! :D

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
