OVER 300 lbs

Hi anybody out there start this journey over 300 lbs? I see post from people in the 200 lb range but none from 300 lbs. On the day I was sleeved, I weighted 363 lbs now I am 4 weeks out and weight 327. How long did it take to get out of the 300s?

  • I started at 351--was sleeved on 8/13 and weighed in today at 297. I stared at the scale for what felt like 5 minutes. I haven't been in the 200s for years and years and years. It was a glorious fe

  • My starting weight (also my highest ever) was 380.5. As of this morning, I'm 353.5 but I haven't been sleeved yet. I've lost 28lbs on my pre-op diet. My doctor is requiring a 38lb loss so I've got 10

Keep up the great work. I started this whole journey at 350, and was 327 on the day of surgery (7 days ago, today in fact). I go to the DR tomorrow for my first post op visit and I'll find out if there as been any weight loss in the last week. I would think with the sheer amount of vomiting I've done in the last week, there has to be some reflection on the scale. I guess we'll find out. Good Luck to you!!!

I'm waiting to get to 300, started at 530, down to 499 two weeks before surgery. And have my 2 week post op next week, can't wait to see what I've lost.

Hi, just got my sleeve on 10/21. I started at 330 and i am down to 312. I am looking forward to the 200's also. Let's do this!

Wow, same doc a day a part, we were probably in the hospital together!!

Great. Let's keep in touch. I "friended" you.

Hi! I have been waiting for WLS for over 4 years...I was sleeved Sept. 24. I'm 35, 5'8", a registered nurse. At my known heaviest I was 374. The balk finally started rolling in March when I followed up and had come down a few pounds since I was last seen (2 years ago). I kicked it into high gear and lost about 25 pounds before I got my surgery date. I started my pre-op diet one month ahead of surgery and lost about another 20. On the day of my surgery I was 327. Today I am 305. I'm excited to get my life back!

I had gastric bypass june 2013. I started at 297 lbs. Now i weigh 167 lbs. With 7 more lbs. to goal. A loss of 130 lbs. Yahoooooo

Still pre-op, HW 311 CW 292...absolutely cannot wait till surgery.

HW: 425 (about 3 years ago)

Weight as of 10/20 (starting pre-op diet): 387.6

Weight as of 10/30 (Surgery Date, including shark week...): 375.0

Weight as of today, 11/4: 365.2

I'm so excited for my life-changing journey! ????

Shark week made me laugh out loud. I say that too!

I started at 344 lbs. I weighed in at 299.4 yesterday. I am in my 5th week post op. ????

I went in at 275. I am only 4'11 though. So I think that also makes a difference. I am only 11 days post op and down to 253. After only 19 days of diet then surgery till now I am ok with those numbers! My BMI was like 53 or something crazy like that! So I think I will drop more pounds quickly. You are also doing great and I'm very excited for you!! Congrats!

I started at 309 and was 292 when I was sleeved on 2/19/13. I now bounce from 175-178.

So out of curiosity, about how much did you lose each month?
