  2. My HR department didn't even want to know what the surgery was for. I'd say just do the FMLA.

  4. Read this earlier, and found it didn't apply to me, well now it does! First night in solid protein is a miss!

  6. Zoe, congrats on the 150 pounds! I agree, there comes a point where the rest is you and the work you put in.

  8. I'm going to try the Tylenol and see if I can substitute that. Thanks for the tip. They also fixed a hernia, so I'm not sure if that's part of why I'm still in pain....

  10. I have gone out with my boyfriend and his baby and family, to eat several times since surgery. I get the soup and usually just pick at it. But I enjoy just being out and the convo mostly. Do I want to go face first in the pizza at bertuccis? Sure do, but I think about the pain it would cause and then I'm all set.
  11. I took 4 to start, but my job is very stressful so I'm thinking I'll stretch it out to 6.

  15. Is anyone still having issues with pain? I had my surgery on 10/22 and have been trying to ween myself on less pain meds because I'll run out soon. Last night I took 1&1/2 perc and when I woke up this morning I had a 7 level pain, and after showering I literally had to lay down and wait for the meds to kick in. During the day I can exist fine on 1&1/2, but it seems as night and in the am I need the 2 to manage the pain. I'm worried I'm still in too much pain, and also that when I do run out the dr will not give me more. I'd love to hear your thoughts, I know some said they weren't given pain meds at all, I honestly don't know how you exist. Also I get regular gallstones and still function, so I'm not being a whimp. ????

  18. I'm just weighing in at the Dr's too, as to not drive myself nuts.
  19. I'm waiting to get to 300, started at 530, down to 499 two weeks before surgery. And have my 2 week post op next week, can't wait to see what I've lost.
  20. I'm worried because I had stones pre-surgery, but they felt it wasn't safe to remove at the time of surgery. I'm hoping mine doesn't act up, and if it does, it's cut asap.
  21. Honestly that's my plan. I know it's going to be hard to get under 200/250, I plan to work my ass off until I get to what I find comfortable.
  22. Yeag, now having problems keeping stuff down as i branch out.

  24. Yeah, those are some of my concerns. My friend is 3 months out so she's just hitting the hairloss phase and starting to have problems with her gallbladder.
