Dec. sleevers.. I saw a topic about this but lost it? Anyone out there yet for dec. surgery?

Recommended Posts

I just recently changed jobs so I don't have that to worry about. If I was at my old job, if one person knows, everyone knows.. So I totally get that!

You're going to be successful! Just in calorie intake you will lose weight so don't worry! :)

Yes I have lost my total weight already that was my goal for WLS, so I'm not too worried, but I heard about a slump you go thru after awhile.. Just have to keep moving even tho it's hard Bc I'm a hairdresser, on my feet all day, I find it hard to walk after work..

I totally get the moving thing, I'm a teacher so I'm constantly up and moving so when I get home I just want to crash. Something I have to add to the fix it list haha

I just changed my surgery date to December 18th, so I hope it's okay to join in here.

I ended up having to move from October, and while I'm a little worried about the wait, it works out better as I have time off and holidays off so I don't have to go back to work until Jan. 5th. :)

Will be a great start to 2015!

Of course you can join in! The more the merrier!

I'm having my surgery December 22nd for the same reasons as you. I have the holidays off so it just made sense to do it then.

Haven't gotten my surgery date yet, but pretty sure it will be in December and I would love to join in with supporting each other!

I don't have a date yet but it will most likely be the end of December given my weigh-ins, etc. So exciting :)

I'm hoping for a December date. I'm actually on track for November but want till wait until after finals (December 10th) My file goes to the insurance on October 28th. I'm hoping that will be enough time for it to come back and then book a date. Does everyone already have their dates already?

It's good to see so many others scheduled for December, I was starting to feel like the only one scheduled so far out. It sure seems like a long time away but I know it will probably go quickly.

Hard not to be envious of those darn November sleevers and their quick scheduling though. :)

I have my date set for December 17th in Tijuana!! The waiting is definitely killing me, but I have a month off from work so its for the best I guess. Im honestly more worried about the flight over than the actual surgery . I cant wait to hear all of our sucess stories

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
