1 year post op w/pictures

Recommended Posts

So today marks one year since my journey started. My HW was 303 and my CW is 201. I went from a size 24 to 14-16. This journey has been very bumpy and emotional for me. I've had some good days, and bad days! I haven't lose any weight in months and it cause me to get stressed out. I started slacking in my exercising, and eating stuff I had no business eating because I'm a emotional eater. I feel hunger all the time now, and I find myself eating way more than I could before. I even gained 9lbs back... Which sucks!!!! I don't have any energy anymore. I've sat down with my nutritionist and she recommended I go back to the basic to get back on track. On a positive note I thank God that I've come this far, and I'm going to get myself together mentally so I can lose this next 50lbs. Here are a few pictures of my journey. post-150750-1410368202141_thumb.jpg post-150750-14103682179608_thumb.jpg post-150750-14103682520763_thumb.jpg post-150750-14103683150982_thumb.jpg post-150750-14103683458429_thumb.jpg post-150750-14103683774988_thumb.jpg

In the beginning it wasn't that bad because I was really motivated. I had my struggles too but after a few weeks it gets easier. The biggest motivation will be when you start noticing your clothes hanging off you. Lol Good luck to you!

You look great! Love the black dresses. I agree with your NUT about going back to basics to help you lose the last 50 lbs. I am also an emotional eater and it doesn't matter what I eat when I get emotional so I keep good foods/snacks in my house to eat during emotional times. chips are my weakness so I don't even bring them into my house. Good luck on your journey.

Happy Surgiversary! Mine was yesterday, so we can Celebrate together and eat some vegetables or something, lol. I also have been stuck at a few weights, so I appreciate how frustrating it can be. I would agree with your nurtitionist that going back to the basics is probably the best bet.

Good luck and try to enjoy today- you made it a year! :)

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
