Much better, thanks. I had a normal small dinner of a few bites of soft food (pastitsio and moussaka) and no problems today. That stuck episode was scary!

198.0. Down 0.6 this week. Time to step up the exercise. Going out today with friends to walk in nature. It's cold here and lightly snowing but I'm putting on my boots and gloves and doing it.

I want to walk more. I get cold and "don't wanna" so I've been slack about it. My food is pretty much where I want it to be, so if this weight is going to drop more, I need to move more.

I've been really busy with evening commitments and I'm pretty tight on funds right now, so I can't afford a gym. I think just maybe I'll try walking in a mall and see if that's something I can do a few evenings a week.

I must be crazy thinking of malls during the holidays. Ironically, I HATE shopping. Well, for now it's just an idea.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

Too bad you can't walk in the mall before work. Our Mall Walkers is from 7-9 am. I hate shopping too, but I can look while I walk and the mall in not crowded.

Or during lunch. I was occasionally walking around the neighborhood where I work during the autumn weeks. If I could find an indoor place close enough maybe that would work. Before work ain't gonna happen. I know me too well. Lol.

Ten degrees in Chicago. Had the last of the homemade lentil Soup for breakfast. Yum. Must get this recipe from my neighbor.

I just realized I haven't gotten stuck at all this week. Yay me. Eating good food, not sliders, so I guess either my stress has gone down, I'm chewing more and slower, or all of the above. I'll take it.

I went off caffeine completely this week. I got some headaches for the first time since surgery, but not too bad. I was reading a few threads on this site about how caffeine is bad for WLS patients. My doctor didn't prohibit it but the comments from BP folks worried me. So full Decaf it is. Not too hard.

My jeans are getting looser every week. I'm so glad not to weigh daily anymore. Sundays are plenty.

I've noticed that my fasting days of Monday and Thursday are oddly freeing. No real food worries, because I just have lunch and then move on. Sometimes I eat my "desk lunch", which is nuts and a Quest bar. I'm hungrier the next day, but it doesn't boomerang on me.

Next week I will fast on Monday and Friday. Wednesday won't work because that's my cooking and prep day and I plan to taste a little bit while I prepare. Friday will be a good day to resume the routine, and since I'll be at work, it will be easier.

I'm hoping to see a pound or two loss tomorrow when I weigh in. Maybe I will and maybe I won't, but either way, I know I need to step up my exercise. I haven't been walking outside since it turned bone chilling cold.

My mom and I are making an apple strudel today. Not tempted at all since I never cared for strudel myself. But it reminds me of my grandma, so for me it's about the tradition and memories.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone.

Grr. Up almost half a pound. Right before Thanksgiving. I need to exercise!!

Well, this week my jeans got looser, I wore a shirt that used to be too tight, I found my collarbone, and I was able to put on my boots without huffing and puffing like I did last winter.

All in all, a rewarding week. Time to move this body, and not go crazy on the holiday or during the prep cooking. Protein and well planned meals. My fasting days will be Monday and Friday.

Ok? Ok.

Prep cooking is done. No binging on turkey skin this year. I won't lie. I tasted it. But the rest went in the trash. I am so happy to have this LapBand on my favorite holiday. What a difference from last year.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you wonderful BariatricPal peeps. I'm very grateful for all of you.

Fasting Friday this week. It was hard to wait until 1pm for my lunch because I was pretty hungry this morning. I grazed a bit on Thanksgiving and that's a habit I don't want to go back to. Today, back on track!

Weird day Friday after Thanksgiving. It started great, and at 1pm I had my usual moderate lunch of hummus, celery and a Protein Bar and then nothing afterwards, because I moved my fasting day to Friday. At 8:30pm I had two sudden, unexplained, non productive waves of stomach nausea with convulsing and lots of saliva. Nothing in me except Decaf coffee with cream.

I feared I was getting a stomach bug, so I went to bed early and by morning I was fine. It was scary because I have not vomited since being banded eight months ago.

It could have been worse. I was afraid of a band slip, but it was fine today. I had a late breakfast and ate some turkey and potatoes without problems.

Weird, weird, weird!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
