I was sleeved 9/16, and I also feel like I am losing slowly...but like you guys said, slow and steady is better :)

Starting weight: 264

Surgery weight: 253

Current weight: 232

I know I shouldn't pay attention much to the scale, and I wish I would have taken my measurements so I could also track inches lost. I've already had one stall on the scale, but my clothes are definitely looser. I'm putting off buying new clothes as long as I can though... don't want to spend a whole lot of money on clothes that I won't be wearing very long.

You guys are doing great!

You are too. Kinda weird but I can't wait for baggy pants. ????Have a nice day- ️AllofMe.

Happy Halloween ????????. How did everyone make it through our 1st Holiday ??

I'm only down 1/2 lb in the last week and I started working out... Lol

My doc and NUT said I'm doing great. I guess I had more "hefty" expectations of early weight loss.

Can't complain really, I weight less now than I have in 8 years.

I'm just really anxious and excited to keep losing!!

????resisted on Halloween. But broke down and had 4 pieces on Saturday. Was stressing over my daughter choice of boyfriend. Oh well. Last year I might have eaten the whole bag. Lol. So it's progress. ????AllofMe

I am hearing you, my weight loss is very slow and steady.

Considering I am eating probably a quarter of what I use to eat.

Arghhh

Hi all. I was sleeved September 18, 2014. The day of surgery I weighed 363 lbs. Today I weigh 315 lbs. I can't wait to get out of the 300s. I finally found a Protein Drink that I really like. It is called Isopure. 20 oz bottle is 40 grams of Protein. The orange and raspberry are good. I still can't eat many foods. I am just going to keep up with Vitamin & minerals supplements, fluids and protein and see how it goes.

Can't wait. It seems like it will never happen. Sometimes I wonder if my stomach is small enough lol or if the surgery even worked. I know it did, but sometimes with the slow weight loss I feel ill never get where I want to be. Anyone else ever have those thoughts? Not being negative, just impatient. Slow and steady I know. I've read that there are months or weeks where we stall and lose at a greater rate but I would love to have a good losing month. I've had the stall during week 3-7 lol. My weight loss is very slow but I'm shrinking. I think I should break up with my scale for a while.

I too have felt that maybe I got stuck with too big of a stomach or that I am losing slower than most folks. I have lost 20 pounds 6.5 weeks post op, and have not yet embraced an formal exercise routine. I started out at a lower BMI, and have no excuse for not getting on treadmill or bike. It is as if I am afraid to try cause I failed at exercise so often. I am going to try to download a motivational or hypnosis recording and see if that works.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
