Hello everyone! Well, my surgery is tomorrow and I'm all set with my vitamins shakes etc... I'm so excited and ready!!!!! Can anybody please share some recipes or maybe cookbooks you recommend? Also, can anybody give some word of advise. Maybe something you wish you would have known about the after effect etc... Anything would help!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Your taste buds may change after surgery, so be prepared to experiment until you find the right combination that works for you. After surgery getting in the liquid, Protein and Vitamin requirements will initially be much more important than food. You body will sustain itself by converting fat into energy.

Thank you so much!!! Oh yes I'm set on liquids protein and vitamins. The bad thing is I haven't thought beyond that point.

I am 15 months post-op. I wrote a short article about it and put it on the internet. The article contains recipes.

When the time comes for food you can try bariatric foodie .com Ive tried some recipies from there and they'pretty good. I have'nt had my surgery yet but like you I wanted to have something I could use when the time comes. Good luck and best wishes on your surgery
