Why can't we have caffeine?

Some doctors don't recommend it because it can be hard on the stomach (think acid/reflux). Mine doesn't have a problem with it.

Oh my goodness YUM! I gotta try that! Or better yet let my 16 year old with the super fast metabolism order it and have a few sips LOL! Probably not a whole lot of Apple juice though, right?

It's actually mostly Apple juice!!

Darn! Guess I will get the 16 yo to order it then. I don't really do much apple juice because of the sugar/carbs.

Hey I was a black apron (coffee master) for years. A London fog latte is a tea with steamed milk and add any sugar free sweetener. Also on a hot day I do the same a iced tea no Water added with sf vanilla and then a little non fat milk. Also a skinny latte is great. You can also order a Carmel Apple cider ask for the sf Syrup and no Carmel I love the Holliday feel of it. Also if your comfortable with it tell the barista your limitations and see what recommendations they have.

I just got the London fog latte (they had no idea what I was talking about) and it's pretty good. I'm only 1 wk post op and not having any issues.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
