I purchased some liquid Multivitamins from "The Vitamin shoppe". I begin taking it at 3days post op.

How's everyone getting their Vitamins in? I have yet to get them all in in a day. I tried mixing 2 of them crushed into yogurt yesterday, but I could only take like 3 bites then I was done. I'm getting my Water and Protein in, I just wondered if I should be concerned. I was sleeved on Wednesday.

I take a chewable Multivitamin twice a day. I have a brand from my hospital pharmacy that is super cheap, but Flintstone vitamins are an option as well. I don't take any other vitamins right now. They told me to wait. I was sleeved 10/23

what was your BMI in the beginning?

I was sleeved October 13, a little over 3 weeks out and I have only lost 15 pounds. I think exercising is going to be key.

Great job everyone! I passed my 1 year on Oct 15th. I do wish I has lost more my first year, but am proud of how far I have come. I am definitely still dealing with the mental side of all this. I see the difference in pictures and in clothing sizes, but feel like I look the same when I'm looking in the mirror. Its crazy! I also am still trying to figure out what gives me those boosts where I drop significantly in a week. I can't figure it out. There are weeks when I feel like I snack poorly and won't exercise as much and I'll drop 5 pounds. Other weeks, I'll gain a couple. I just keep trying to do what I can. Here is to our 2nd year journey!

Surgery was October 10th 2014. Start weight 276. Today's weight 129. This has seriously been my 2nd chance at life. I plan to be happy and healthy in order to truly enjoy the years ahead with my new grand baby and the ones to follow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
