Had surgery on 8/20/2014... looking for Mentor or Buddy for journey

I had surgery on 8/20/2014 in Cincinnati, OH and I'd love to meet someone to who has had the surgery to share this journey with, to share tips, advice, push each other, and to keep the encouragement going. I'm a divorced mom with a high functioning autistic son and I struggle with compulsive overeating/emotional eating, in large part due to the stress in my life. I need to make this work though. As I approach 50 (May of 2015) I want to be active, and having fun, not complaining about back or hip pain, no energy, exhaustion, nothing to wear, don't take my picture, etc., etc.

Thanks for reading!

I had my surgery Monday the 18th. I chose the sleeve. I am 59 years old and married. It took almost a year for me to get to the surgery date. I had a knee replacement in April and I am determined to not wear it out . My other knee will not need a replacement if I lose the weight. Right about yesterday I really started feeling a lot better. I still have a JP drain in the wound and I know I will feel a lot better after having that removed.

Good luck to you.
