OMGOODNESS !!! Attention all sleevers that have already gotten there sleeve done....
Does ANYONE still have gas pain? If so, how do you relieve it?
I have terrible gas in my chest everytime I eat. I walk alot and I sip but my god this gas don't quit. TMI but I totally wish I could fart more often. I have the gas x strips but it's almost like they don't work. i mean they work a little but not as much as I would like. Does anyone have an alternative? I'm dying it's like having labor contractions in your chest. Sometimes I won't eat for fear of the pain. Just sip Water or a proetin shake. I started soft foods yesterday but this pain has been here since the surgery. PLEASE ANYONE HELP ME!?!?

Trisey

I was sleeved on the 7th. I had gas pains really severely in my shoulder my left shoulder to be exact. The only thing that seemed to help me was the painkillers they gave me at the hospital. The other thing was I did my arms like windmills in back and forth. That helped some. That may be passed gas and I felt a lot better but every once in awhile I will still feel the pain.some people have to take prilosec or one of those gas type medication. I would call your doctor and ask for advice. Good luck.

Not sure if I posted this yesterday in my drugged out stupor. Gas pain is no joke! OMG I was sooooo uncomfortable. A little discomfort now under my boobs and left side. Throats a little scratchy. Walking does help but I think I over did it!! On clears today and that's a little uncomfortable - I swallow and it almost seems like a gas bubble coming back up. VERY pretty black and blue incision where they pulled my stomach out! Should be going home tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing well!!

Karen

PS - let's hear it for hot nurses and nurses aids! Must be my lucky night!!

I"m home. And yes Peek, I did get two things for nausea. What was happening is I would walk, and the gas bubble would make me sick. But I've kept everything down and did 4 laps of the 3rd floor. So I'm good to go :)

Thank you everyone for the support. You pioneers were amazing in giving us details ! HUGS to those who are going to be sleeved .. you got this ! No fears !!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
