I ate SO much today. TOO much. I kept eating after I was full. I snacked when I wasn't hungry. I ate more at lunch then I usually do. I'm stressed (work) and sad (sudden death of a family friend yesterday) and bored (training). I know these emotions are what caused this episode of overeating. I knew when I was eating that it was emotional. But I couldn't stop. And now I'm miserable. My stomach hurts. And I'm worried that I've stretched my stomach out and I'm going to gain weight back. Only 6 weeks after surgery, and I've already messed up! I feel guilty. (Clearly I have food issues. LOL!) I HATE food. And I HATE how much I love food.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon. Try drinking instead of eating when your hungry that usually help me :)

Yep. Total emotional binge eating day for you. It's good that you've identified why you ate like that...now you've got to figure out what to do instead of eating your emotions away.

For me, this was one of the hardest adjustments to make in the first 3-4 weeks. I couldn't eat my feelings aways so I had to actually SIT with them...raw and painful and undiluted. I felt lost.

Somehow I ended up driving my old 75 Chevy pick-up around the back country roads that surround me. Going nowhere in particular, I would just drive. It was a stress relief. I also found out that jumping up and taking a walk around outside does the same thing.

We just need to replace the unhealthy food coping method with a healthy new coping method. Easier said than done.....but it can totally be done. It's Self Love. Show yourself some Love by giving yourself a new skill to lean on.

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

        Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
