Received my surgery date and it's September 16th...would love to have a buddy

I just received my approval for surgery!!! My date is September 15th! So relieved, insurance took 27 out of their 30 days to approve me.

My date is September 16th @ 7:30am! I am excited and nervous! I am right outside of DC and could use a "ride along" buddy to share updates with. I am currently working my way through my 2 week liquid diet.

I'd love to have a support buddy too!! ???? I'm only on day 2 of my clear liquid diet, I have a 5 year old I still have to cook for when his Dad isn't home... I feel better today than yesterday but I'm scared these Protein Drinks & SF Jello are getting old fast!!!

Anyone have any good Clear Liquids they can share?!

I'm almost 2 days in the book, 8 left then my Big Day!!

I have my appointment with the surgeon Sept 11th, and anticipate getting a surgery date then. I am hoping for September 22 or 23 as I am in school and do not have a test that week. I have met all of the requirements and have been in the process of this approval for a year, and this is not my first meeting with this surgeon. I MIGHT BE A SEPTEMBER TOO!!!! YAY!!!!

I'm Sept 16th. Only a few more days to go. I'm having a revision from band to bypass. I'm praying that my surgeon can do both in the same surgery, otherwise I have to wait until December.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello I'm having my surgery on September 15. It's a Nissan takedown gall bladder removal hernia repaired for the third time and a gastric bypass. Trust me I'm nervous. Only gotta do liquid diet 5 days pre-op so that's good but today the headache is terrible and I've been terribly moody. Guess that's to be expected. I would love to be your surgery buddy. I'm traveling 5 hours to Pittsburgh to have it done. Good luck to you

The headache is unbearable for me! That and now I'm getting the sniffles!!! This stinks! Don't worry, you're not the only one who is moody either!! My husband comes in reading me the menu to a restaurant here in town that he's taking my son to dinner to tonight & I went off on him!!! He's lucky I didn't toss my Protein Drink at him lol

I'm closing out day 6 of 10, praying I keep going. I've been weak and moody but tonight and getting a second wind!

I'm praying for you all!! This is tough, but it's our second lease on life!! ❤️

My surgery is scheduled for the 15th. Santa Barbara, CA

I'm glad I only have two days of clear liquids over the weekend. Time is passing quickly and I'm a little nervous, but excited.

I just got my date!!!!!!!! September 22!!!!! I was going to have to wait until October, but as I was leaving they had a cancellation-- it just goes to show that things happen when they are supposed to, and not before. I have been waiting for a year for this to happen! Yay!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
