out of place

I got sleeved on 11/5/2013 my starting weight was 298 lbs now I am 180lbs. I can do so many things I couldn't do before. I lost my friends but I gained confidence. I am visually impaired so u can't see myself in a mirror. I feel out of place because I don't see the new and smaller me. I just see the old me.

They obviously weren't real friends anyway. No lose there. There are billions of people out there and I am sure you can find others who share your new interests like exercising.

I lost all of mine too but starting to make new ones. Those who are interested in me and not what I can do for them....

Body image will be an issue for a long time, maybe as long as you live. But you have to remember that you are not that weight anymore and you should be proud of yourself....Keep posting your worries and we will help encourage you to see the new you and Celebrate it even if you are visually impaired. You are still the new and improved you. Enjoy it okay! Every day!
