I think it's very common if you look around on the boards and very temporary.

It's very common and happens to the majority of people who have had surgery. I've had multiple surgeries and experience it to some degree each time. In my case, it has something to do with the anesthesia. I am losing a bit more hair this time, though, as my body goes through such major changes after the gastric bypass. You most likely will experience it, but it is temporary and will grow back. Some people swear by Biotin, others say don't waste your money.

It happens. Take your vitamines, get your protein but there isn't much you can do to prevent it. As someone else said, the anesthesia contributes, as well as the malnutrition. Mine falls out constantly but I still have a head full of hair and most people can't even tell.
