My typical lunch bag.

Recommended Posts

This is what I typically pack for my workday.

My day usually starts off with a 2 egg omlet with half a serving of cheese (190 calories total)

The content of my lunch bag is

dannon light and fit yogurt (80 calories)

Premier Protein shake (160 calories)

single serving beef Jerky (100 calories)

4oz of turkey chili (120 calories) but can vary, morning star black bean burger or turkey or chicken breast

pickled egg (great snack) 70 calories

Many days I cant eat it all

when I get home I may or may not have a serving of some sort of dense Protein, depends of the day

this usually brings me well over 80+ grams of protein and keeps me satisfied all day long

@@Bob2013 you and I eat pretty identically, minus the turkey chili. I have a Quest bar probably twice a week when I don't have time to stop at home before a strength class. Good job on the loss!!

We make it. Usually use 3lbs lean Jenny-O ground turkey. The wife uses a mix of mccormick chili seasoning and I forgot the other one. 1 to 2 cans of red and kidney Beans, and a few other things. If anyone is interested I can get the wife to write out the recipe.

We make a pretty big pot once a month and I freeze about a dozen 4oz servings for use the following weeks.

I buy them. Most grocery stores carry them. Exact same nutrition as regular hard boiled eggs. I like them due to the convenience. I hate peeling eggs. Plus they are pretty awesome. I never had one til about 5 months ago. I even made some develed eggs out of them. Was pretty interesting.

Another wife question what type or brand of containers do you freeze the chili in?

Where in the store have you found the pickled eggs? I've never seen them in a store or maybe I missed them! My grandmother used to make them in huge jars for us, sadly no recipe was left when she passed :/

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
