Ok, why the krap did I feel the need to Celebrate my onederland achievement with food. Isn't that what got me to 255 to start with. Well, I celebrated for a few days and guess what??? This morning I am 201. I still have so much to change about my thinking. Having said that, I refuse to change my ticker and I refuse to leave onederland. I am back on track today, and when I am back down these 2 pounds I will choose a different way to celebrate!!!

Hi all I was at 228 two weeks ago at the Dr. office. I think I am down another 5 so 223.

I know Onederland is on the horizon. I keep looking. I am getting closer, It might take me a little longer but I will get there. When that day comes I will be celebrating with new clothes and a day at the spa.

I have been reading this thread for a couple of months now, but never posted. I wasn't close enough yet...or even close enough to hope. I always figured in the back of my mind that I would post when I hit 219, but I didn't figure on that REALLY happening. Well, this morning, I hit 219. I am now 20 pounds away from 199. 20 pounds!!! I know I'm not as close as most people who post here, but I just can't believe I'm even LOOKING at 199. So here's my countdown:

19 pounds and counting!!!!

Welcome Ann and Jennie!! I remember being very reluctant to post here. I think I was somewhere around 220 when I first posted on this thread. Last week I officially entered onederland!!! You will do it too, and before you know it!!! Welcome, and I am looking forward to watching you reach this very rewarding goal!!!

Linda, funny you should post that. I have signed up to run a 5k and I just finished my 3.2 miles on the treadmill. I am fixing to eat some edamame, and my scales said 198.0 this morning. I am celebrating a little differently this time!! BTW, this may be TMI, but I feel so attractive today...maybe even sexy. LOL DH is giving me "the look" again. Our 13th anniversary is Monday. I dare say it will be the best one in several years.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
