It does, thanks. Of course, the old insecurities have reared their ugly heads. Can I maintain this? Will I be able to lose more? I am trying to talk myself down off the ledge before I jump over into insanity.:smile2: I just have to remind myself that this is my new lifestyle and not a diet. I can do this. We can all do this.

I have been stuck at 210 for almost a month now. I'm heading back to the gym to kick my weight loss back up. I've been doing the mini trampoline at home but I dont know if it's helping or not. I want to see the scale go to ONEderland so bad..I can almost taste it..but I havent been in the 100's for many many yrs. I just hope it attainable.

blessings to you all and hope to chat soon.

211 this morning! We are all going great!

I love this thread.

I've really upped my Protein. I was not concentrating on the "protein first" part of the plan and was taking in too mary carbs. I tweaked my diet a bit and make sure I get my Protein Shakes in.

I made it!

Had an appt today at the clinic - I only step on their scale (found myself addicted to the scale) - and it read 199.

I don't think I've weighed this little since my freshman year in college (before the freshman 15 - okay 30 - piled on).

It is such a relief. I know I still have more to go - more than my ticker says, but I wanted to set a reasonable goal - but I actually feel so good.

Good luck to everyone else getting close. You can do it!

Karen,

CONTRATS! It must feel wonderful. I can't wait.

Still stalling at about 211, but that's OK. I'm down almost 10 lbs. from about 6 weeks ago.

Been working a lot of hours, stuck behind a desk not burning a lot of calories. Next week going to have to get out of that rut.

It's been slow going for me too! I'm now at 203. UGH! It feels like it's taking forever but I have been SICK. I kept joking the nurses at work that I have swine flu but it's just been a terrible knock you down cold accompanied with a fever so I haven't been able to exercise in a few days. Hoping to get better and pass this hump quickly.

Gosh Melly,

You take care of yourself! I hope you are not like my lil nurse daughter that won't take care of herself! I have to give her heck all the time to go the doc when she gets the flu.

My daughter works with 3 or 4 nurses that had bariatric surgery. That helped me make the decision as she was very supportive and kept me updated on how here co-workers were doing. I think 1 was banded and 3 had gastric bypass

Well, the swine flu has definitely made my job busier. Lot of chest x-rays. I am a radiology transcritionist and at the Center I work at with the economy the way it is they do not refuse any patients and they double book now, that means a lot of chest x-rays right now. Here in Mass. we have had some swine flu cases.

I am still holding at 211. :)

Thanks Mary!

This virus actually knocked me down pretty hard. I ended up leaving work early on Wednesday, stayed home on Thursday, and tried to go back Friday but only made it half day. I came home, took some Nyquil and just slept. I actually feel so much better today. Guess my body needed that sleep. You're right us nurses take care of everyone else but ourselves. Guess that's how I got so overweight too *LOL*

Yeah, this swine flu thing is crazy. I have to pull shelter duty in cases of disasters and pandemics and they've already put us on call this weekend. I think they're going a little overboard but who knows.

I'm still holding at 203. GAH!! Move scale, move :)

Melly, :tt2:

Glad you are resting!

Gosh, you are so close!!

I'm gonna kick my scales's A$$ lol. Hee..hee. Holding at 211.

My scale is not digital. I think the digital scale would freak me out! LOl...if I swing around on my regular scale It looks like maybe I lose 1/2 pound!

Good grief. I need to get a grip and stop weighing myself every day.

got sick as heck on some chicken last night, felt like pb'd up about 10 lbs. Oh well... Swore off dry chicken for the rest of my life.

I'm still hanging in there.

Hey Mary!!

I'm feeling so frustrated! I weighed yesterday morning 202, this morning 203. I've been exercising my booty off but I seem to stay the same. Maybe I'm eating too much?? I'm entering all my foods into dailyplate and I'm always under the amt of calories it says I need to eat to lose 2 pounds per week. Maybe that site's not accurate for WLS patients?? I make good food choices but I'm definitely not full on 3 bites of food like alot of people post on this site. I don't know if I should just limit myself to 1/2 cup of food per meal and just cut myself off or what. I went jogging tonight instead of doing my Slim in 6 video to try and shake things up. I'm open to suggestions if you have any!! My doctor will only let me get a fill every 6 weeks so I don't go back till June 10th. I want to be like 195 by then but lately I'm feeling like it's impossible. Talk me off the ledge

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
