You need to talk to your nutritionist and see if your calorie intake is correct. Regardless of which tool you have decided to use in this case the sleeve, you should be getting excellent results. I have lost almost 200 pounds in a little over 11 months. That is an exceptional amount of weight and I am not telling you this to upset you. I am telling you that you can have excellent results with the sleeve. May I suggest that you religiously log any food that is going into your pouch on a daily basis. As well as any exercise (if any) that you are pursuing. Frankly I have been in too bad a health to exercise so all of my weight loss has been through diet alone. I would suggest that you use a computer program called My Fitness Pal. It allows you to keep track of all of you food and exercise and you can print out reports to take to your nutritionist, or in my case I gave her my user name and password and she can review my food intake and make comments as to what I need to add or delete from my diet to maintain my weight. Good luck and don't give up. You will succeed.

I'm sorry you're feeling disappointed about your results....... I think that you've identified the problem when you state you don't know if you're eating too much..... tracking your food and understanding your nutrition intake is a big part of being successful so if you don't know how many calories you're consuming ....how many Proteins, how many carbs , how many fluids of Water and how much exercise you're doing, that should be far more disappointing than your weight-loss...

shake up your game plan and start being more accountable. You own this tool now, so make it work!

You can do this...

Definitely speak with your surgeon and/or nut. When you go for your weigh-ins, they should provide tips (if you go in). I use my fitness pal daily and that accountability really helps. Also, the accountability of my monthly weigh-ins at my surgeon's makes me stick to my food and exercise routine. I know some surgeons don't do this, but it really makes me want to be a winner (or I guess loser as they say on here). :)

Your thyroid is definitely going to be a factor in your weight loss--talk to your doctor and see what is recommended for you. Folks with thyroid issues can do everything right and still struggle to drop pounds, don't get discouraged. Talk to your doctor, they will be able to dig to the bottom of the issue with you and see if it's a dietary problem, or a thyroid imbalance problem. Hang in there, and keep fighting the good fight!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
