Have you tried making your own? I make a chocolate Peanut Butter Protein cookie for breakfast (I still like that flavor lol), but on pinterest, they have lots of protein granola bar ideas :) Most of them include dried fruits, Protein Powder, an egg or two, honey, and oats. I think Quest bars (at GNC) also make some fruit flavors. Those are super high protein and low carb for sure.

Unfortunately most "breakfast bars" and granola bars are super high in sugar and carbs. But since I hate the artificial taste and chewy globby texture of most Protein bars, I have had to try and find a compromise....

Natures Valley Protein Bar is made of real nuts with soy Protein isolate that doesn't effect the texture. 10g protein, 6g sugar. Both the Peanut Butter dark chocolate and Salted Carmel nut are good

Natures Valley Greek Yogurt Protein is also real nuts and soy protein isolate. 10g protein, 11g sugar. I've only tried their mixed berry and it's good.

GNC Lean Bars. Texture like a rice crispy treat. 15g protein, 7g sugar. The strawberry yogurt is my fav, but the chocolate chip is good, too.

Since I'm under goal, I've been trying to add more healthy carbs to slow weight loss. I just added some "not so high in protein but still not high in sugars" bars to my snack list.... Kashi pumpkin spice flax granola bar, Kind Healthy Grain vanilla blueberry and Puréed Organic Ancient Grains (just found them at Sam's Club and they contain quinoa, amaranth, flax, hemp, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and brown rice.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
