My one year surgerversary is on June 25th. It's a good day! It has been a life changing year for me, I hope you experience the same.

Not sure how I would feel if I had to be on the extreme diets some of you are on. I'm at week five of the pre-op weight loss diet, but not liquid like other people. That would destroy me. I'm on very lean protein and 1/2 cup cooked veggy 3x a day, and all day drinking . I weigh in tomorrow and go for pre admission testing. So psyched!

I'm the 26th also. Just starting my 7 day liquid diet.

Congrats and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

How's the liquid diet going?

I am in day 6 of liquid diet. The protein shakes were making me nauseated and I was not getting enough calories in. Felt sick and weak. Today I tried adding 1% milk to dilute the premier shakes and it was much, much tastier and easier on my stomach. It's surprising to me that I have done so well with the diet. Thankful that surgery date is in 4 days!

Yes! You're in the home stretch. Glad you're feeling better and getting that protein in! Sending hugs & prayers!

Hi? I'm needing help! I took my meds -- 3 pills and I have a lot of pain in my stomach. It feels like terrible case of heartburn. Is there a key to keeping this from happening!! Had surgery on June 26.

I have no idea. That can't be good. Call the doctors?

I was told to take my pills in 10 minute increments to keep them from getting stuck. In other words, take one pill and wait ten minutes then take another. I only have to take one huge pill and that's my prilosec. It kinda hurts when it goes down. The rest of my meds are small.
