Fathers Day and what to do?

Wow, what a difference in life this is. My husband usually wants me to make his favorite dishes for fathers day. We are both 9 days in on the pre-op diet. This is the first of many holidays that we have to totally find new ways of celebrating. I honestly don't know what to do right now. We have disabilities that keep us home so what a journey of new things we will have to find.

We are allowed chike Meal Replacement, broth, sugar free Jello. Not much to enjoy but I keep thinking this is a good start to our new world. I am down 16lbs so at least I have that to hang onto. I can honestly say, I feel so HUNGRY!!!

Love to you all for complete success.

Colleen

Hi Colleen. Welcome to soon to be banded life. You are right...this is a new start to a better life for both of you. If you are not homebound, try taking a walk together....or maybe take a drive if that's better and sit by the beach or in a park and watch the world go by. Or go to a movie together. Whatever it is, make the day about your husband and yourself and not about the food.

I'm almost a year and a half banded and my life is so much better...there's no comparison to before I lost the weight. I love food but it's no longer the focus of my life and I'm so so much happier now.

Good luck and please keep us posted on your journey.
