Day 4 post op, are your wounds still covered?

My instructions say to leave them open but I'm not comfortable doing that. They aren't glued or anything. Just open cuts. :(

Mine still had the steri-strips over them at that point. 9 days now and 3 of the 5 still have the strips on them.

Mine were covered in glue but one glue thing fell off after 2 days. It seemed fine. I'm 20 days out and mine are healing up great!

They did not give replacements. They said just leave them alone and let them fall off on their own.

Mine were never covered. Lap incisions had internal sutures (from what my OR report said, not that I could feel them) and glue and drain site had a steri strip. I was told to shower and wash lightly and let the strip and glue come off on their own. Took about 7-10 days. No submersion until completely healed. Never had any issues.
