The nutritionist said that 17 pound loss in 7 weeks is good . I really expected more loss by 7 weeks. She went over my diet log and said I was doing the right things, I am just depressed wanting to buy new clothes ..

That means your average weight loss is over 2 pounds a week! Safe, sustainable loss. It's excellent! What was your starting weight? If your BMI is lower to begin with, you may see a slower loss than some others on the page. (My BMI was 35, and I have lost 46 as of a couple weeks ago. This is my 6th month.) Keep the faith. New clothes on the horizon! :)

I am right there with you! I am 6 weeks out and saw my NUT at one month out. At that point, I had lost 14 lbs. since surgery. She thought that was great--an average of 3.5 lbs. a week, she said. But it seems so darn slow to me!

As the tortoise stated "slow and steady wins the race"...

Think about the last time you lost weight at that rate and it may help you appreciate what you have accomplished!

I waited and waited to get new clothes, as I hate to shop... until my pants practically fell off my hips! ...I HAVE to wear a belt now LOL...never thought I'd do that...much less find one that fit me...

Today I noticed my jeans will slide down over my hips without unzipping again... they don't feel too big, but I guess they are... so I'll have to find some smaller ones...

Goodwill, here I come again! ;)

@@emiadams enjoy your spoils! No Lb lost is greater than an any other! As far as clothes don't worry that will come and like an avalanche you will need a whole new wardrobe. I too shopped at Goodwill during the weight loss phase. I don't know about your area but on certain holidays they would have everything 50% Off so I went crazy and bought some "goal clothes" too. ;)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
