2 Days post op - stomach cramping

I believe that this is part of the healing process - correct?

I had what I thought was cramping and then read on this forum "spasms" and that fit it better. I felt it was my new tummy just letting me know when I should stop and sip even slower. Good luck

Two days post op I woke up in the middle of the night and was miserable. I didn't know what was wrong I just had pain and gurgling. I couldn't sleep-I woke everyone up. I just started crying and asking if I should have done this to my body. Definitely a low, low point for me. I'm 9 days out now and haven't experienced it since. It gets a little better each day. Just hang in there!

Thank you both for your replies...

I was given prescription post op for valium for muscle relaxing, and levsin for esophageal spasms, and both worked great. If it continues to be a problem maybe ask your Dr about those, if you aren't already taking them.
