I was hoping to start a daily news thread for all of us having or had surgery in May. We can post anything, recipes, tips, struggles, successes.. Etc. First I would like to introduce ourselves, I am Allie. I had lapband in June 2008 and did awesome with it until about 6 months ago. Do to reflux and other issues I am having it removed and getting bypass on may 21. I am very excited to get back on track. I'm 44 and live in CT with my husband of 23 years. We have two daughters 22 & 21. Our youngest is expecting our first grandchild a girl on June 8. We are very excited!!! Ok may bugs what are you all up to????

Hi tebow fan! I had my surgery yesterday and it was the easiest surgery I have ever had! I did so well I went home today. Very little pain surprisingly! How are you doing?

Same here! I kept reading all these bad post experiences and also a couple of people I met said it will feel like I've been hit in the stomach a bunch. I did not experience any if that. I did get gas in my shoulder and that was not fun, but eventually it went away. My incisions are looking better. I just started adding puréed foods into my diet yesterday with much success.

Let me know if I can offer you any advice. What state are you in?

I'm in CT I don't start puréed until 2 weeks from now. I'm still feeling awesome. I really have been lucky.. Since I had a tummy tuck my skin was to right for glue or internal stitches so is have outside stitches.. Can hardly wait to use my mederma on them. That stuff was a lifesaver last time could barely see my scars.

That is great! My doc prescribed scar compound and I have been using. One of my incisions is about an inch and half next to belly button. I wasn't to happy about it. Hopefully it fades or my first tattoo will be there:).

I Ambon Texas and wish you were closer. Sounds like we have similar experiences.
