Hat did you all do when you plateaued ? I have lost 50lbs and am 5 mo out of surgery. What can I do to step up my losing power?

I'm exactly right there with you... About 5 months out and plateaued at about 47 lbs. I'm trying to increase my Water. I know I should increase my exercise but just been too busy (bad excuse I know). Do you track every calorie? Are you accounting for all the condiments/sauces?

Are you measuring your food?

Wow, you guys are both doing great! I am also down about 50 (little more according to doctor's scale morning of surgery, little less according to my scale). I don't mind if my body needs a little time to adjust to this loss -- it's a big chunk gone, gone, gone. I did just go for a fill today because I've been feeling nibbly and can tell I am able to eat more -- and I'm trying to increase exercise. I have a feeling that will happen naturally as the weather is nicer and these outdoor months are naturally more conducive to exercise. I am not counting calories but focus on whether or not I'm really hungry. If I am, I eat, but if not, no. I make sure all my intake is high quality -- no sliders. Favorite go-to is salmon, and I like Greek yogurt with flax seed, chia, a few nuts chopped up and dropped into it with some gluten-free granola. Once in a while I do liquids for a day or two and I think this helps me stay on track. Good luck -- we're all in this together!

The idea that my body needs time to adjust just hit me when I read that. I gained and stopped myself at 198. Panic set in and lost back to 186 (rather quickly), which is where I always stop and stay! I briefly got down to 181 but it didn't last long. I'm going to relax and just keep doing what I'm doing. I'd like to lose at least 20lbs, but my body seems to like it here, ha!

@@Multifacet how about telling yourself 178, 178, 178 -- maybe we can break through our plateaus through visualization. And relaxing a bit -- letting our bodies stabilize here and there. After the 178, count-down -- mind over body!

When the late night munchies hit, I try to go to bed. My work has been super stressful so unfortunately my snacking and alcohol went up. I'm somewhat happy it didn't increase yet frustrated that I've plateaued. I plateaued prior to the workload increase and that frustration just kind of 'enforced' it a bit more.

I've been considering doing liquids again to try to jump start the scale to move again

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
