hey guys!

I saw this made for tv commercial about a tool that slices zucchini, etc do that the veggies look like noodles. For the life of me, I can not remember the name. Does anyone know the name of this product or know of a similar type of product? It produced curly "noodles" out of the veggies.

You can also just buy spaghetti squash...once cooked, you remove the seeds and shred it with a fork...it absorbs the sauce and takes on that flavor...the texture is very similiar too...

We eat a lot of spaghetti squash in our house (still pre-op). Make a light Tomato sauce with turkey meatballs and put it over the spaghetti squash ... awesome! It looks just like spaghetti!

Thanks guys! I have seen the spaghetti squash and aim to try that, as well. I really liked the idea of the curly Zoodles, too! Or, maybe I just think it's cute... Lol Trading a food addiction for a healthy cooking appliances addiction maybe?

I agree but, when I tried a bite of mashed potato the other day and it expanded in my tummy, I figured maybe I need to check out other options. My love of pasta is great but my new tummy thinks I should wait a long while to try it.

Have you tried smashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes? I also made a pizza with a cauliflower crust...it's amazing what you can do :)

I was thinking of how to make things a little more dazzling and remembered Gefu Spirelli Spiral Slicer that was on the Dr. Oz show so I ordered it. Can't wait for it to arrive. I'll let you know how it goes.

It's called a Veggitti. I am intrigued also. Be careful though, the Veggitti plus the *free* mincer came to $32 with shipping and handling, that's crazy for a tool listed as costing $14.99! I also found it on Amazon with free shipping for $14.92. Big difference . Has anyone used this thingy?

I would check walgreens and bed bath and beyond, so if it sucks you can return it without having to pay shipping to you and back.

I haven't tried it, yet, but I've found a ton of recipes with smashed cauliflower. Haven't gotten to that stage, yet. Mmmm

That's what I think it was. Yes. I didn't want to spend a ton of money especially if it didn't work. Lol Hmm I will have to check amazon

Oooh! Yes!! Tell me. If that one works well, I may go that route instead.

The link above (I think its the first comment after your post) is the one I have.

I love it!! Haven't used it post sleeve but used it before as I was trying to stop eating wheat.

My house is always filled with teens and they all LOVED it!! I sprayed very lightly with olive oil and salt and roasted it before I tossed with sauce. Zucchini reduces down alot which is no big deal for sleevers but if you're making for family make lots!! YUM YUM. PS today is my first bite of food in 3 weeks!! I had really watered down re-fried Beans and some 0 fat greek yogurt. YUM YUM!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
