Feb 21st banded, recovery time done, thought I was getting it but actually I wasn't.......but this week things have really started to slot into place, I had a rather bad "stick" last weekend but was fortunate enough to have a visit booked on Monday and had a really good chat with my nurse and I had my second band fill, then attended a group session, which was the first for my area. It was great to meet other people and discuss how we we're find things.

I started using a smart phone app called "eat slower" which has really helped with my eating. I also bought a hot plate to help keep my food from going cold as I keep the chew chew chew going. Both things have really helped.

I have just finished a session with my new personal trainer and am actually feeling rather good about myself. In 10 weeks there is a huge difference in my physical appearance and more importantly my metal wellbeing. I feel as though I am really only now starting to embrace my band and understand how I go forward....coz one thing is for sure I don't intend to go backwards.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
