Out of pocket.

I have BCBSNC I have met my $2000 out of pocket maximum and now the bills are starting to come in. Will I have to pay all of these bills before they will do my surgery or how does that work?

I'm not sure I understand your question.... Are the bills from the surgeon and hospital for your pre-op work-up? The surgeon is probably going to want any money owed from past visits before scheduling your surgery.

I have a $2000 out of pocket maximum for the year that has been met. I have a $498.00 anesthesia bill and a $1500 hospital bill both from a pre-op EDG I had done. Will these 2 bills have to be paid in full before they will do my actual surgery.

I asked my surgeon the same question. I have bills from other things but my deductible and out of pocket as been met. They told me that as long as that is met then I don't owe them and I can continue paying my bills as I had planned. It won't effect surgery.
