Paying out of pocket cost.

I have BCBSNC I have met my $2000 out of pocket maximum and now the bills are starting to come in. Will I have to pay all of these bills before they will do my surgery or how does that work?

Any procedures that were done after your out of pocket max is met will be covered. If your tests and labs were done before your OOP max was met you will have a balance to pay. Check online or your explanation of benefits to see when it was met.

One doesn't have to do with the other.

If your balances are due to the doc and to the hospital work out a payment plan you can afford.
