Bored with broth ????

Recommended Posts

When do you move up? I'm full liquids with a little purée thrown in till Friday. Then full on purée. I bought Lipton noodle Soup and drink that broth. It has a different flavor and the noodles sink so no worries there. Jello? My husband made some the other day for his son that has evaporated milk in it to make it creamy. I didn't have any but they thought it was good.

I'm good. I made my family pizza for dinner so I took some ricotta cheese, sauce and a little mozzarella put it in a ramekin and baked it. It was so good. I could only eat half but a few hrs later I ate the rest. This is technically a purée, but I am moving up Friday anyway.

That sounds delicious! I'm on my pre op diet right now but will try this after surgery. Yum.

If ur on anything u can drink thru a straw, why r u limited to broth? I was on full liquids for 4 weeks. I had 1/2 cup of Progresso Tomato Basil Soup (yummy, btw) or Andersons Split Pea about every 3-4 hrs. Warm stuff fills me up more than pudding or Jello. If I never see another cup of split pea soup, it'll be too soon!

I was also allowed soupy cream of wheat/malt o meal and yogurt.

Good luck to u!

I had surgery on Tuesday the 29th, and I can only do liquids for 2 weeks. I've been having broth, popsicles, and hot chocolate that is specifically from my doctor's office. Everything still catches and hurts in my chest going down and I'm worried about getting my ounces in.

Surgery was the 23rd and I was on Clear Liquids for the first week and full liquids this week and next. Full liquids meant soups! Cream of anything Soups :-) also I've had a few bites of yogurt and some cheddar cheese. I have the same problem with gas in my chest every single time I ingest anything. I'm losing my mind. Because of that I'm seriously struggling to get in 40oz a day of everything combined. -MM

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
