I have had dressing room anxiety for years. I have left crying or left and cried all the way home. I was in need of course of new capris today so I had to go shop. I grabbed some 12s I always grab bigger sizes and go down bad habit. Way big. I grabbed 9/10 which I am now in. Kinda big. I put on a pair of 7/8's. Fit perfect!!!!! I cried in the dressing room once more. Not meltdown tears but this time tears of joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a little discouraged because I had a few rough weeks of cheating and being hurried. I think I am able to get back in track now.

Don't give up!!!!!!

Sleeved Nov 5th 226lbs

April 21 160.0 lbs!!!!

Congratulations to you!!! I love shopping for clothes and can't wait until I seriously have to go shopping for new ones. I purchased some comfy clothes as suggested pre-surgery, but I can't wait to get some new ones. Keep up the good work and congratulations again!

That is awesome!!!! You almost made me cry reading it! I totally know the feeling of not wanting to try on clothes. I got so bad that my husband started buying stuff for me and bringing it home because he wanted me to have new clothes but I never wantes to shop. Congratulations!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
