I worked overnights and used to use Wawa all the time. The have the most variety. You should try to pack your meals in advance and avoid eating out all together but that doesn't happen always. Trust I know lol. Worst case go with Wawa in a bind.

Jim, keep those packs of tunafish and chicken in your backpack or lunchbag for emergencies. I keep them in my desk drawer. Not really what I want to eat but they are good for an emergency and keep me off the carbs.

If u have no refrig at work, they make some really cute bags now that keep ur food cold. Especially in the beginning, I would pack my own food. Even a Lean Cuisine heated up in the microwave is better than most of the options at any of the food places u listed. U can pack a hard boiled eggs, a salad with some tuna or chicken, fruit, yogurt, cheese or stuff that can be heated (like Soups or chili) and it's much easier on ur wallet too.

Now this is what I'm suggesting. At 4.5 mths out I was eating everything and winging it also when I traveled. Do as I say, not as I do - or so the saying goes!

Good luck! I used to work the 7p-7a shift when I was in nursing school in the early 90's. I lived on McD's and popcorn, as anything "healthy" didn't seem normal at 3 am. Now, of course, it would be a different story.

I appreciate all of the help but im looking for something to eat. I normally pack a meal for lunch but on this occasion i didnt have time so this is the first time ive been at work and not been prepared. I also dont have the opportunity or time to check out each place to see what i can have. If anyone knows anhthing specific that i can eat let me know please. And thank u all. I too have lived off of crap food overnights. We have a few pizza places that stay open late also chinese food popcorn chips huge wawa sandwiches or i packed a lunch which was always loaded with food and because i would eat from boredom i would get even more food later in the night. I cant wait to be dont with this overnight stuff

@@jimhead4866 - I would say wawa - you can get chicken salad, or salad bowl with chicken in it, they have yogurt, apple slices with Peanut Butter cups in it.. fruit & veggies... there are more choices at wawa then 7-11 etc... Even some of the hot foods you can get without a roll, like meatballs, hot roast beef, hot turkey... I am only 4 1/2 months out, and still not able to eat a lot, but when i forgot my lunch at home, i stopped at wawa and was able to get my days worth there... good luck!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
