If you look under food and nutrition, and then look under recipe sharing there are sections for each phase, which is where I got some ideas.

I'm almost done with this phase, and I've been eating a lot of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and laughing cow cheese. I can tolerate scrambled eggs, so that has been good. My favorite dinner is to mix refried Beans with tortilla Soup broth and a little bit of cheese.

Other people purée chicken or other lean meats. Or some people purée creamy Soups, but those don't settle well for me.

Other options are cream of wheat or grits or mashed potatoes, but you'll want to watch the carbs.

Ricotta cheese, add a little mozerella, cover with a dab of marinara and bake. Use a ramikin if you have one.

Canned chicken or tender cooked chicken. Purrre and season with taco seasoning. Purée a can on green chilie tomatoes and layer sauce over chicken. Top with sour cream or the queso flavored laughing cow.

Cottage cheese and Greek yogurt will help get your Protein numbers up. Staple in that phase for sure.

Hummus. Not high in Protein but helped satisfy the need to eat ANYTHING that didn't taste like fake sugar.

I loved broc and cheese Soup from the deli which I'd purée and strain. No more than 1/4, 1/3 cup but it was heavenly.

It all passes soon enough. Good luck to you all!

Hi,

I, myself got really Organised, and went to buy some of the Plastic cups containers.

Like the Take out have, but smaller. I think to fill like 3-5 oz. cup with lid.

Then I went to butcher, made a 3-4 kg Beef roast. Nice & tender with grave, carrots, Garlic, onion, little herbs etc. Simmered on top of Stove.

Cool down, cut it up & purred the whole thing. Filled it up, in to freezer.

Once your out of the Hospital, I don't think you feel like shopping around & cook etc.

I had a real good , relaxing 2 week stay at Home. De-frost my Protein loaded mini meals. Tasted solo good.

I know what was in it, tasted very good, filling and all.

So, if you like you can something like that do is well. Prepare yourself.

It keeps for weeks/mth in freezer anyway.

Ok, good uck and let me know how you did it.

Later Franky

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
