Full liquid diet recipie

I'm on day 1 of my full liquid diet and I thought I would share a yummy recipe. My surgeon says I can have anything liquid based that is thinner than pancake batter with no lumps. This morning I made cream of wheat with milk but also added part of a protein berry smoothie. It was delicious! Fruity and sweet and very filling. I would have eaten it before being banded. I'm really struggling to get enough protein right now so every little bit helps. post-206450-0-06798500-1398003592_thumb.jpg

Smoothie Recipe from my nutritionist:

Cup of Greek yogurt (lots of protein)

Milk (I use unsweetened almond milk)

your choice of fruit (I use blueberries - great nutritional value)

A hand full of spinach for added nutritional value. you won't taste it.

I throw in a little chopped ginger root. Its good for the tummy and gives your smoothie a kick.

I also sprinkle in a little organic cinnamon. gives additional flavor and cinnamon is good for a variety of ailments

High blood pressure, inflammation.......etc.....

Happy Trails......
