Need advice on trainers

Recommended Posts

So I haven't dropped weight in the last couple months, which is extremely frustrating. So, I think My body may just be comfortable here. I'm considering hiring a personal trainer to kick it up a notch. For those of you who have, any advice?? Specific questions to ask? What do I need to know? Any suggestions would be appreciated. This seems like a big investment, so I want to chose the right person.

Thanks in advance! :)

Being able to feel comfortable and trust you pt is important. You want them to push you, but there is also a limit and you and your trainer need to both agree on what that line is.

Adding muscle may well help you, since muscle burns more calories. It's a great thing to do for yourself. However, be prepared to not lose on the scale, and maybe even gain, while you are building muscle. Do expect to see fat reduction, though, via measurements and skin fold tests.

Youfit has a deal that is month to month for a trainer. That is what I'm doing if you don't like your trainer ask for someone else ask around the gym. Love mine and he had worked with other wls patients. It's important to get along and he/she needs to know what you want to accomplish. I'm working on toning and weight loss, so low weight more reps. Though after surgery I want tone and ripped!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
