Girl,

It's so good to have you back. I was wondering about you! Your little peanut is wonderful. I am so happy for you. Your family is very beautiful. You look fantastic! Before you know it the baby will be born and you will have the band to help you get back on track. What a blessing the band is for you and all of us. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I feel like a aunt!

Blessings, Weazer

Sandra...

Great to hear from you again... I've been thinking about you lately!!! You and your family are beautiful!!!

I'm convinced more than ever that something is wrong with my band... last night I was able to eat a half of a spinach stromboli.... with that THICK dough... and I purposely did not chew well... and nothing...at all... I dont know if my last fill missed the port or what...but my Dr did say that it felt tight... so I dont know. I called the Dr and they can not get me in until my next appt which is 5/7. I'm so scared that once again... I have failed.

Melissa...

Don't let the "F" word into your vocabulary (FAIL). It truely is a 4 letter word in every way!

Remeber...You can only fail the last time you try!!!

We all have set backs, but this is a life-long commitment, so the "F" word does not exist! Explore the idea of a stretched pouch, talk to your Doc...You'll find the solution.

Sandra...

BEAUTIFUL!!! There is nothing in life that is more precious...take great care of Peanut (taking care of yourself). I forget...when's Peanut to make his appearance (do we know that Peanut is a boy?)

God Bless,

Sue

After fishing around on here I think I may have stretched my pouch... so I'm gonna try the liquid diet for 4 or so days to see if I notice a difference.

Melissa, I am afraid I have streched mine too. Do you think that if we only drink liquids it will shrink back. I was afraid I have damaged it forever.

Sandra,

Thanks for the info on the stretched pouch. I also went on line and researched it and it says the same thing.

Days 1&2 Liquid Protein

shakes, broth, clear or cream Soups, sugar-free Gelatin and pudding

Day3 Soft Proteins

tuna, eggs, soft fish, etc...

Day 4 Firm Protein

Ground meat, shellfish, scallops, lobster, salmon

Day 5 Solid Protein

chicken, beef Steak (If tolerated)

I am going to get on track starting tomorrow. It will be difficult. Especially the first couple of days. Starting tomorrow, liquids only. Wish me luck.

Oh, and I can't wait for Peanut to be born!!!!!

Oh my gosh. I lied. I can't start on liquids tomorrow. It is the Jazz festival. There is no way I will be able to go there and stay on liquids. I placed my big container of Protein Powder on my desk and I will start on Monday morning. It is going to be so hard. I don't think I've only done liguids since day one of the surgery!

Talk to you guys Monday,

Weazer

thank you everyone for your support. I've already had my first day of all liquids... And I'm fully stocked up for the rest of my weekend to be liquids only... Its gonna be hard... Seeing I'm at the beach for the weekend... The land of junk food!!! But I gotta do it!

Mini- we have come too far... We can do this together!

I've made it thru the weekend on just liquids... SO tired of cream of wheat, Soup and milk!!! I've also had a couple of milkshakes just to curb the hunger and keep from ripping someones head off!! HA! I'm going to continue with the liquids for as long as I can...at least another day or two...then I'm gonna move on to mushies.

I've kept my word and have stayed away from the scale!!

Melissa, I am so proud of you! You did it! I know that must have been hard at the beach and all. I hope I have that kind of strength. I started today on my liquid diet. So far I have just had one Protein Shake. I am not hungry at all. I will try and get my Water in. 64 oz. I better start now! My only obsticle today will be that I forgot, i have to go out to dinner tonight for my son-n-laws birthday party. It is a Cajun resturante. I hope they have some type of clear soup! By then I am sure the smells will be driving me crazy. I guess I should drink a Protein shake before I go. I'll bet that will help.

Laura - good for you not wghing yourself! I love only weighing myself once a month. It really helps me.

Blessings all. Wish me strength today as I try to stick to liquids!

Weazer.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
