Ginger - I'm getting my third fill tomorrow but I'm not really sure what I will eat because I slime on everything as it is. Part of it is the kind of food I choose to eat. My mind still wants bread and fries and potato chips but those things are a for sure slime and throw-up waiting to happen. It seems like I can't eat anything and I have stalled out on weight loss also, that's why I'm getting a fill again.

I went on a cruise last weekend with my mom and felt like all I did was eat. I came home and got on the scale and had gained two pounds. I got back on my walking and weight lifting routine and over the next three days four pounds came off. I read somewhere that you have to keep your metabolism guessing. Eat about 2000 calories for a couple days and then drop it to 1000 for a few days. That way it doesn't go into starvation mode. I will let you know how it goes after the fill. I have to be on liquids for two days. I am slowly coming to the realization that bread if forever out of my menu.

Ginger...

If I eat less than 1000 calories a day I go into starvation mode...scale won't budge. Sure sounds like that's where you're at. You've go to be able to get nourishment. I would definitely call the doc.

I've really found that if I stay away from the breads and starches I really don't crave them. I do crave salt once in a while (I used to binge on chips), so I grab a few almonds. I am tempted to try a little PB&J (I haven't really tried any bread since my last fill). Maybe I'll put a little PB&J on a few ritz.

Ginger,

Definitely call your doctor. You should be able to keep more than that down during a day. You need to have your nutrition. You don't want to jeoparize your health and risk losing your band as well. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Cindy

Twinn Mommy,

I will probably mail out your pants in the next couple of days. My life has been sooooo hectic....my 10 yr just broke his back in football. So we have been at the hospital. So dont give up...you will have some HOUSTON, TEXAS pants soon.

To all....I have missed you all!!! You guys are such a inspiration. Just reading everyday makes me a better banded person. My scale has been cruel to me so far...I have hit a plataue for about two weeks....trying real hard to get it moving. I did go to Old Navy yesterday and was going to pick up a size 16 pant and my son said those are two big for you now MOM!!! So I got the 14'S thinking that they would be returned or put away for a later use. Well got home and found out they were the low rise!!! Which I never ever do low rise. Well they fit just fine......as long as I dont sit or bend down....because they are soooo low you could see stuff that you shouldnt when you are clothed!! LOL!! So they are being returned but not because they dont fit, but because I like pants that cover my crack when I sit down!!! LOL!!

Do not worry about the pants at all! YOU HAVE PLENTY ON YOUR PLATE RIGHT NOW. I am so sorry to hear about your son. I have not been online in about a week. I had no idea. I will be praying for your family.

I didn't have any luck getting into the doctor today. I can't get off of work to go tomorrow so I am going to have to wait until Wednesday. I feel like my body is shutting down. I am supposed to walk in a 5k Saturday and I don't even have the energy to dry my hair much less walk in a race!!

Thanks for all the well wishes.

I am supposed to do the race for the cure here in Arkansas. I got confused though, it is next Saturday.

Most drinks turn to mucas. It is crazy. I am drinking sugar free lemonade today and that seems to be better. I feel like my body must think I am starving it, LOL! Otherwise I should be losing weight. I am going to make it through today and go in tomorrow afternoon. The dr told me to walk as much as possible today and if I sweat that might loosen it up.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

I have really been struggling with the diet part. I feel like I am stuck at the 38 lb. mark. I have noticed a vast difference in clothing. Purged my closet of the size 22 and 24's. I can now were a size 18 comfortably. But still struggle with the restrictions. I have had three fills and still do not fill like the amount of food I eat is restricted. HELP ME TO STAY FOCUSED.:help::help::help:

My 3rd fill started wearing off around 5 weeks after I got it. For about 3 weeks I thought it was all in my head. When I sat down and could eat a whole steak with no problems I called to get another fill. I have only had it since last week so it has been tough to eat much but its getting better every day. Congratts on the smaller clothing, that matters way more than the scale!

I knew that I was experiencing Hair loss. I have very thick hair so I did not realise just how bad it was until this weekend. All of the plumming back up and we had to rent a snake, take up one of the commodes and run it down. When we pulled it back out it had hair all wrapped around it. Lots of hair. So my fellow bandsters who are experiencing hair loss, just a word of advise, go to you local hardware store and get some drain cleaner now before it becomes a big clog. LOL

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
