Jan 21st

Sw: 360

Cw: 292

Not really keeping track of food. It feels like I have even more restriction than when I started, so as long as I eat Protein first there's no room for anything else.

Hi I was sleeved 1/6 Surgery weight 219. Current weight 183. Staying around 600-700 calories per/day. Still struggling to get 64 ounces liquid. Mostly drink Decaf tea. Can't stomach plain Water. So far everything I have tried for good sits well in the sleeve. Had Greek salad with grilled chicken last night. Was first salad tasted delicious and very filling.

My date was January 14. SW 314. CW 273. I have to say I've had mostly a very positive experience. Great recovery. No real issues. My main struggle is more with getting my head in line with my tummy. Best part...my food bill has gone down significantly and I've discovered the art of dressing up left overs.

CW: 242.5

Tracking with Myfitnesspal.com

Doing well with food, trying to get to 64 oz of fluids currently at 48 oz. & that's with effort. Love the treadmill, lower energy after work but pushing myself to success.

Best choice of my life.

I was sleeved Jan, 7, 2014 (SW 248, CW 226). I am keeping calories around 600-700, Protein 70-90 gms, carbs around 50 gms, fat around 20 gms. Having trouble getting in 64 oz. of Fluid - getting closer to 48 oz. Exercising quite a bit - both strength training (4 times a week) and cardio (6 times a week). In general feeling pretty good except weight loss has really slowed - lucky if I am losing 1-2 lbs per week.

My surgery was Jan 20. SW 290 CW 258 so lost 32 and had lost 10 before surgery so down a total of 44. Best decision I ever made. Easy recovery (except the one bout with severe constipation). Losing around 2 to 3 lbs a week although went like two weeks without losing anything. But back on track now. Eating more than I thought I would be able to but losing so it is all good. Good luck all!

I was sleeved on 1/27/14. HW 307 (1 week prior to surgery) SW 298, CW 259. I love the Campbell's home style chicken chili. 1 container is 3 servings for me. Another go to is shredded chicken breast with 1/2 of a small avocado and lemon pepper. Cottage cheese. Refried Beans mixed with chicken broth and salsa is delicious. As I type I am trying my 1st Protein bar, Atkins dark chocolate decadence bar (10grams of Protein, 1g of sugar, 150 cal, 4 net carbs). I am not a "sweets" person but once in a while it's a nice treat. I also love plain Greek yogurt with diced cucumbers, lemon juice, garlic and mint. I tried shrimp but couldn't eat more than one piece, it felt like it was stuck for about 20 minutes, stomach spins and lots of saliva and nausea....does that happen to anyone else?

I really struggle with getting enough protein in. It is still hard for me to eat without some pain and discomfort, I know this will pass with time. I also get full very quickly. I have been taking Miralax daily! This is a MUST for me due to severe Constipation on a few occasions, I do not want to go down that road again!. I have always been a Water drinker so that is all I drink except when I need to force myself to drink a dreaded Protein shake.

I am going to start exercising tomorrow on the elliptical.

This week the weight loss has slowed down and I will be surprised if I lost a pound when I weigh in tomorrow. The scale has not moved but a few ounces.

Any recipes would be greatly appreciated :). I am so happy I had the surgery and am staying positive.

Great job everyone!

I was sleeved Jan 28th..... SW 220 CW 192..... 28 pounds so far! Had the dreaded 3 week stall that lasted 2 weeks! Walking 2 miles a day.... 64 oz of Water most every day.... Concentrating on at least 60 grams of Protein daily. I drink 1 Protein Shake for Breakfast that gets my day started with 30 grams of protein right off the get go! Greek yogurt.... Cottage cheese.... Grilled chicken breast... Seafood and refried Beans are my staple food right now. Eating is a bit over-rated right now... Still have the feeling a bus is parked in my chest after eating! Congrats to all on your journeys!

Hi Jan. sleevers! My surgery was Jan. 7th. I couldn't wait until I was on soft foods, now that I am, it's a challenge, but I'm plugging along. I found my sleeve DOES NOT like pork. I'm not drinking Protein shakes (they just make me gag), getting most of my Protein through food. Once in a while I have yogurts, but I'm sick of those too. I have been eating chicken, cheese, Beans and Turkey or chicken lunch meats that sit great in my stomach. I'm getting between 600-700 calories a day, but most days it's around 650. I walk daily for an hour, two days a week I walk 3.5 miles (we walk the lake). I'm so glad for the time change, now I can walk later and its still light out.

It seems like I am able to hold less and less these days. My starting weight was 245, at my last appointment I was 207 (that was Feb), I won't know how much I weigh until my next appointment in April (I don't own a scale and don't want one). I do know I have dropped 3 pant sizes, 3 shirt sizes and 2 belt sizes (on notch 4 of 7 on my current belt). I'm taking all my Vitamins like a good girl.

I refuse to buy new clothes, so I look a bit ridiculous with my baggy clothes, but I have my belt wrapped snug around my pants. I told myself I would splurge on month 5 or 6 (just in time for summer). It's strange seeing my reflection in the mirror when I walk by. I'm so used to seeing my stomach first. This transformation definitely takes some getting used to. Good luck everyone.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
