Tomorrow is my surgery!!!! I am so ready :) The hubs keeps telling me "don't be nervous." I'm not, maybe he is?? Lol

I have lost 10 lbs on my liver reduction diet (10 days) and it feels good to see that number go down- can't wait for the big drops!!!!

What should I bring to the hospital with me? Yay!!!!!!

I took a small bag with tooth brush, tooth paste, a hair brush, hair clip (I have long hair), chap stick, and GAS X STRIPS (a must have). My surgery was so early in the morning so I was wearing sweats and sweat shirt, I just wore those home too because you are in your hospital gown and hospital no slip socks. I saw others took a pillow, I didn't and didn't need one there was plenty in my room. I also took my cel phone and charger. I packed my Kendle but never got it out. The nurses are checking your vitals every 2 hours during the day and 4 hours during the night if you are comfortable. During the day you are walking several times around the hospital floor to help remove gas. You are also sipping your Water, they bring your meals which mine was a pop cycle and broth, you are drinking and eating very slowly so that kills quite a bit of time. I actually thought the time went by very quickly. I hope this helps.

I couldn't drink or eat anything cold. Peppermint tea was my life saver.

My surgery is tomorrow too. I am just overwhelmed with " the what ifs?"

I just want it over with so I can live a normal life again. The liquid diet is old. Good Luck to you!

I wore sweats to & from hospital. I packed an extra pair of sweats & undies. So glad I did because I had to stay an extra day & felt good that I was able to refresh. my cell phone & charger. I packed the basic toiletries. So glad I did because they gave me mouthwash, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. You'll need Chapstick and a head scarf/hat. I downloaded books to read on my smart phone, but I didn't read. Between walking every two hours, chit chatting & watching TV with the husband, & napping, no time to read.

Good luck to you!!!

I am on for tomorrow too! I hope there is a lot of room on that loser's bench! I couldn't agree with you more. The liquid thing is so old already, and I am going to be on only clears for 2 weeks post op. Then a week of full liquids. UGH! But I will do whatever it takes. Best wishes to you tomorrow, and see ya on the other side of that bench!

Best happy wishes to you! I am on tomorrow too! I wasn't nervous until about a half hour ago, and now it's starting to creep in. Just a little bit. So many things on my mind that I just have to push the negative thoughts aside and concentrate on tomorrow. I hope you have a very easy, very successful surgery.

Good luck NSABINO!

I'm in at 3 tomorrow for mine too.

I'm lying in bed crying about how much I love my children. I had no idea I would be a going like this. Good luck to the nurses tomorrow who have to deal with me!

Fingers crossed I will have secured my stiff upper lip by then & won't make a complete goon of myself.

I wish all my fellow 24/2 sleevers all the very best of luck. See you on the other side!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
