It's seems my stomach holds more than I thought. 10 days post op

I have not felt any discomfort at all. I'm sticking to the liquid diet, but it seems my stomach holds a lot. I can make a can of chicken noodle soup, strain the noodles and it leaves a large mug of broth which goes down easily. No upset. Anyone else feel their stomach is surprisingly holding more than expected?

Your stomach isn't "holding" anything. Liquids pass through your pylorus into your intestines within minutes. You will feel the restriction as you move to puree's and especially solids.

You were concerned.......this is the best answer.

Be happy that you can drink fluids without feeling restricted. Adequate hydration is critical to recovering from the surgery and it sounds like you can count on liquids to ensure you have enough Protein as well. Following the doctors instructions is the best path to success with the sleeve surgery! Good luck to you!
