I am having my sleeve Friday, April 11th in Tijuana with Dr. Cabrera.

I have done A LOT of research and I feel very good about my decision.

I am SO nervous and very excited.

I have been too big and sick for too long & so very tired of losing 20 pounds for 2 months and gaining 27 back... we've all been there......no more HGC, Medifast, Atkins, etc.

I am so thankful we now have this as an option.

I wish us all the very best luck and health!

Hi, can I ask how much do you pay in Belgium? Are you travelling from the UK? Best luck to you! :)

I am converting from band to sleeve on April 9th! The surgery will be performed by my surgeon (listed in my stats under my photo) that performed my Lap Band surgery back in 2009. I've been working with him ever since my Lap Band surgery and he is extremely supportive. He recommended that I convert to the sleeve since my band has started to fail me. I was hesitant at first, but I am now completely on board and ready. So excited. If it wasn't for work commitments I would have it done in March. ;)

I am surely becoming more and more excited! My date is April the 14th. As of right now I have the h pylori bacteria and will be starting my 14 days of antibiotics on next Wednesday the 5th. I wanted to wait till after Mardi Grad because I want to enjoy myself. After that I will have an endoscopy done on the 21st. Then on the 1st of April I have my 3 hour class, on the 7th I have my appointment with the surgeon and on the 14th I start a new life!!!... I'm excited for all of us and I wish everyone the best on their journey!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
